My 5 year old loved it! There are so many pieces and you have to prepare for MESS, but it's worth it. She played with it and created "art" for hours/days until she used up almost everything in the pack. We thought the makeup was "real" for kids, but the packaging warns against using it on skin and it turns out it was only meant to be used for photos of LOL dolls, which was a lot of fun .
