Needed a new mount for a new (used) boat. It came with a ram mount but smaller bullets with a longer arm. This device was too heavy for that, didn't stand up and couldn't be positioned in such a way that you could see it clearly while driving. Got this little arm mount and replaced the old one. It is much stronger and easier to place, fits the space much better. I was hesitant to shell out $50 for something that seemed so simple, but it's high quality material made in the USA.
