The mounting mechanism on this thing is a total crap mounted on a "raised bracket"" fan. The two mounting screws that should hold it in place while back pressure is applied to the flange. Literally the worst way they assemble this thing The screws just pop and the unit falls out. Sending back for a replacement in case the unit I have was just mishandled or something. Will update the review then. UPDATE: Got a new block and it doesn't fall out. Now it's bolted securely but definitely not what I would call "reliable" and looking at speaker an d fan vibration remains to be seen how long it lasts. Sounds GREAT and connects to my phone very quickly. There is a star deduction because of the poor installation mechanism and the fact that the speaker only works when the fan is switched on. Personally I would hook it up to a light switch.
