Review on 3 Pack of Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for Garmin Edge 530 and Edge 830 - 0.33mm Thickness, Anti-Scratch, Bubble-Free Installation by Dustin Gabrielle

Good for 530. Not good for 830.

I've used this brand on other tempered glass products in the past with pretty good results. I also have this on my Garmin Edge 530 and it's ok there. On the Edge 830's touchscreen, however, it's an absolute disaster. I took great care to get good adhesion and avoid voids/air bubbles. The house seems fine. During my first ride in real-world conditions of heat, sweat, etc., the touchscreen became very responsive and eventually became unresponsive. That doesn't mean the screen was wet or anything - it's just oil and moisture at the touch of a finger. Screen wiping didn't help. Angered and in need of navigation, I finally removed the screen protector and the Edge started responding normally again. The protector went straight into the trash can - never came out again. I suspect the 830's touchscreen isn't of the quality we've come to expect from smartphones, and the people who made this screen protector probably didn't do a lot of testing on it. I don't know if there is good Edge 830 protection out there, but it isn't.
