I bought the medium for my 3 month old crested gecko as a rearing aviary but I was dying to get a very large one or at least a large one. Just a word to the wise! It works very well as a temporary reservoir, not so big that it confuses the little guy. Airflow isn't great but that doesn't matter, if you want to keep it as a more permanent case I could drill holes in the sides to create a flow through wind. I only leave three corners in place to make it easier for me to remove the lid without squeezing the gecko and I feel it's pretty secure and doesn't release any crickets. The only thing I can fault is that it closes very tightly so it can be difficult for stressed animals to gently remove the lid.
