Love them but NOT WATERPROOF. They definitely feel waterproof and stayed dry for a while, but by the end of our hike and sled ride my butt was wet. The pants are otherwise FANTASTIC; Very comfortable, warm and windproof. I went hiking in 30 degrees in the mountains of Utah in nothing but gaiters. I've never been cold. For the record, I'm from Cancun and moved to Utah, so you can trust me when I say they'll keep you warm. I am medium size. I'm 5ft 3in and about 130lbs with a HUGE buttocks. Pants sit perfectly on the hips and with a high waist above the belly button. Anyway, I find the waist a bit larger for me, but that's very typical of my figure.
