AM/FM reception was very good. The tuning marks only give a rough idea of the station's frequency, so this is largely done by ear. The closest NOAA transmitter to my house is within recommended weather radio range, so such a small device would not be able to pick up WB signals. Looks like I'll need a model that can use an external antenna. Vondior's customer service was very responsive. They immediately offered either a refund or a prompt replacement. The process was very simple and the return was completed in just a few hours. They really stand behind their products!
