Didn't get the results I expected

I was excited to try this product because the crazy indicator looks very helpful for getting darker hair especially in grey/white areas. I've been using it as directed for over a week and not only has it not darkened my hair it has also removed all color residue from previous color products. I was very disappointed. I didn't notice my hair starting to think, and it didn't darken at all.
