I've been looking for a kettle for years no Plastic in it and finally I found it! When I first received it, it smelled like plastic and chemicals. He had some kind of cover. After about 10 attempts of just boiling the water and then pouring it out, the smell didn't work so I researched how to get rid of it. Turns out the best way is to chop up some lemons and/or limes and boil them in clean water in a kettle, then leave (I left overnight), drain and boil fresh water again . , it worked. The smell was barely perceptible for me, but I'm a great smeller. No one in my family noticed and I didn't smell it when it was in the cup instead of the teapot. After about two days of use I didn't smell it anymore. The kettle is about 2 months old and still works. It has enough water for 4 cups of tea, coffee etc. The outside of the kettle stays cool so my kids can use it without worrying about me. The automatic switch-off works with the help of a magnet that is no longer magnetized. when the boiling point is reached. Apparently most analog kettles work like this. My self-taught son, who was homeschooled, explained this to me. While I think it's pretty cool, the real draw is the lack of computers, which stop working before the actual mechanics of the device. Reliably analogue! I dropped it last week trying to remove the lid while holding the kettle. It still works, but the stitching is a little wobbly now. It's not very noticeable. Keep top marks for licking and ticking! The only negatives are the initial smell, the fact that you can't adjust or even tell the temperature, and the appearance is slightly sticky. I say lightly because the handle is silver colored plastic and that plastic stone on top is a bit like a princess to me. I hate the silver logo. It's so tasteless. However, I can stick with the pan-European aesthetic as interpreted by the Chinese in exchange for WATER NEVER TOUCHING PLASTIC! You did it boys! Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy This company makes a kettle with a thermometer of a more English style, but apparently there is a bit of plastic where the thermometer enters the kettle. Now all my real meat thermometers are metal probes so I can't figure out what they are. The creamy color is ok - nice enough. Overall it's attractive enough - aside from that goofy, goofy logo - but that's not a problem. In conclusion, I recommend this kettle, but prepare to do a little work first to get rid of the plastic smell.
