I bought this cable and iPad USB adapter that we display in our restaurant to collect customer emails. It worked at first and then stopped charging the iPad. After some testing, the cable itself still seems to work, but the USB adapter doesn't. I replaced the USB adapter with a genuine Apple adapter I had and it started charging again leading me to conclude that the adapter included in this kit is no good.
