First things first, I bought yellow, which in the product image appears to be a primary, ducklings-and-daffodils type shade. Instead, it's a washed-out earth tone somewhere between yellow ochre and camel, which is all right, but not what's being represented. I'm uploading a color comparison with a standard revain shipping envelope. The textile is a fairly loose and lightweight single-knit, cozy enough on its own for a crisp spring morning but not likely to save your hide in any amount of wind. The wool is not undetectably soft like merino or cashmere, and the crew neck fits closely, so be warned if you're extra sensitive to scratch. XS runs just a touch big on first impression, which judging by other reviews suggests it'll wash up to a perfect size.I paid under $20 for the size and color, and at that price I'm more than happy. If I'd paid $35+, I'd probably return it in favor of something from Uniqlo, or hold out for a thrifted Pendleton.
