The handles are longer than my Starrett set so they are more comfortable for deeper holes. They have always been of good quality. I only bought one to check the quality. He's missing. You don't have to turn the latch to hold the tubes in place. I check the hole and at first thought I cut it too big. The lock failed and the hoses were loose meaning my measurements were inaccurate. I understand cutting costs to increase profits, but if an item becomes useless in the process, then it has no value at all.
