Moldy after a few months

Bought a few months ago for my son who is now 13 months old. We liked it at first! My son has a lot of teeth, literally 12, and a few more are growing. It was easy for him to hold and I liked that he brushed his upper and lower teeth at the same time. I'm giving 2 stars overall because my husband noticed some discoloration on the bristles after some use and asked if it was mold. HOORAY! I'm not exactly sure if it's actually mold (I've never had this on any other toothbrush product) but just in case we had to toss it tonight and revert to traditional toddler toothbrushes and finger brushes. Disappointed that while this started out as a good product it didn't seem to hold its value.
