I wanted to love these socks and make them work but they are too small. Bought a size 9/10 for a 7 year old and the heel wasn't even close. It's also a little cramped. But they are really cute and although a bit flimsy they seem to be good material. So try the larger size for a younger child if you are interested. Also, as someone else pointed out, they're not seamless, in case that matters. But it didn't feel too thick.
