I needed a key fob for my JK but I only had 1 so I couldn't program it myself, the only way out was to buy cheap ones and take them to the dealer for free and an hour or two and pay through the nose. I found this and tried it. I had the original key fob, this one, and bought two cheaper ones. First, it has a keychain light, which is nice and essential for programming. Second, it's comfortable to hold and stronger than my original. I used the instructions and it was VERY EASY to install and after that I was able to program other cheaper ones. So I now have a total of four key fobs at a much lower price than at the dealer. Take the hassle out and get it. Follow the instructions - cut the keys before attempting to program - and you'll be glad you did.
