Hello everyone! Since using this headset, I've noticed a few things that I think HyperX are doing right and wrong with the release of the Alpha S. I will divide this review into 5 parts. Those parts are durability, comfort, value, sound quality, pros and cons. Durability - 4 stars. First off, I have to say that if you're like me, you've put a lot of effort into finding out what headphones are available on Amazon. the best value for money in performance and quality. In terms of durability, I've had the Alpha S for a few days to understand the user experience from occasional development to full game immersion. I can say the build materials are great, which is to be expected from a $130 headset - at the time of publication and purchase. Material-wise it's not exactly 5 stars. But it makes up for the comfort. It's fairly stiff out of the box, but if you have a gaming chair or similar you can store it on the chair when not in use to stretch the strap right over the tongue. the wires are braided and made of nylon. The adjustable part that connects the strap to the ear pads is made of metal. The top band is leather, as are the ear pads. I would expect the cups to wear early as they are leather. The ear pads are comfortable. It would be nice if higher quality components were used for this headset, such as: B. genuine leather. Convenience - 4 stars. As much as I would like to say that the wires weren't obtrusive back then, I would have sold myself cheap. It has a decent length of 3.5mm wire that fits into a PC adapter. Pretty generous of them to include the extra length, but it can be quite annoying and scary for me to walk around the room for fear of being pulled by or tripping over a wire. It would be nice if a simple little velcro strap came with the headset considering how much you pay. However, the convenience of being able to switch from PC to Xbox or Playstation is very simple since it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. (RIP headphone jack) Cost - 3 stars Total I paid $140 for this headset, it sold for $99 the next day. I wish I knew what really bothers me. For the overall cost, this headset isn't bad. It has decent sound quality, but I'll cover that in the next part. ;) If I had bought it for €99, it would have been 5 stars. Sound quality - 4 stars. I don't know how else to describe this or compare it to, say, A50s. Comfort, not enough just for a50s. The sound quality is the same. The 7.1 stereo mode only seems to make gunshots and explosions really loud. I tend to play with it because it can hurt your ears or has almost no credibility when you're in a noisy area in Warzone or CoD MW multiplayer. Audio is fine, but directional tones are disabled. Things to the left, right, and center behind you sound the same as if you're looking ahead, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly where the sounds are coming from. This is a big problem for me. However, it's quite loud and gets better the more you use this headset. I would probably choose the a50s as it can be upgraded to better mixers and use more audio drivers. To end this review I will mention the pros and cons of this headset. Pros: Decent sound quality. Noise canceling Works with PC, Xbox and Playstation Can be very loud Cons: Leather instead of leather. No additional drivers Price of $140 (if you buy it for $99, get it!) That concludes this review. If you're looking for comfort and the best sound quality, this might not be the best $130 headset. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks very much!
