This shirt seemed great until my 9 year old son started playing in the waves. The shirt had stretched enough that he had bat wings, and the shirt had stretched to restrict his movement. A lot of sand also got into the material because it was very elastic and the sand easily got stuck in the fibres. I've washed it many times and now and then sand got into the sink. It would be better if the material was stronger. With all this stretching, I also wonder how the UV protection can be compromised when wet.
