I bought this to chill on the couch and record songs in Mirack/Fl studio on an iPhone connected to a 4K display. So far, so good. Since it allows you to charge your phone and connect USB to the phone at the same time, I ran some tests to see how many things I could pack into my old iPhone 6s and run through. So far I've managed to get a Zoom H2N as an audio interface for recording sounds, an Arturia Keylab 61 for playing synths, a mouse (ios14 lets you do that perfectly) and a flash drive - all in one USB 3 hub connected and powered at the same time through this adapter. pretty slick.pros: the picture quality seems to be very crisp. You can connect many USB devices to it (via a USB hub). You can power all those USB devices with this thing. ideally, with the right battery, you would have a good mobile phone in the music studio. Cons: It always flashes the connection screen on the TV right when you plug it in - where you have to manually add "screen mirroring" from the iPhone for this adapter to work (I have another Lightning < HDMI adapter that doesn't, so not sure why this particular one has all these extra steps to get it working with the screen).
