Worked for a bit then said it smelled like burnt wires
I bought a step down transformer before traveling to Curacao (where the plugs and sockets are F type, the standard voltage is 127/220v and the default frequency is 50Hz) to use the devices from USA. On first use we used the hair dryer for less than 2 minutes and the transformer started smelling like burnt wires and stopped working. The next day I tried again and it worked again, but now I'm concerned it might be a fire hazard.
