For the price, this thing works well. I was very surprised at how bright it really is. Pure bright sunlight in the middle of the day and you're out of luck. A little less and it works very well. I opened up this device the other day to see if I could use it in a security project. I had to turn it on and off manually without touching the power button. Well, I found a different approach, but I also found that with the batteries installed, the board gets power 24/7, even when the laser is off. Do not leave batteries in this device as this will discharge them completely to DC zero. . When fully powered off, this device draws 30mA at 6VDC. It doesn't take long to ruin your batteries. FYI when both lasers are on it draws 110mA = 3W. Very effective if you take out the batteries when not in use.
