Keeps them off! for my opinion

Ya'll, don't judge me: my cats are allowed on the furniture because I can easily brush their silky hair off with a pet chomper. But my dog. my dog's hair is terribly coarse and sticks in all fabrics. He has never been "allowed" on the furniture but if we are gone for more than an hour, we come back and have always found him to have made his way onto any surface, coating it with his furry love. Blankets/sheets are a PITA to constantly put on/off and need a wash after 1-2 uses. So, we hesitantly tried these. My dog was extremely displeased and tried a few times to figure out how to knock these off, but in the end, these won the battle. He is deterred when these are on the couch. Now, if we forget to put them on - he goes right back to resting his sweet noggin where we don't want it. so, it's not really a "trainer" for us, it's just a deterrent.Because it's made of a vinyl/plastic, it is easy to rinse off if it gets dirty. The panels are easy to put down and collect. Why -1 star, then? Well, It's not the most comfortable thing to put down. There's no way for YOU, the human, to really grab them without having to touch the little spiny bits. I wish they had just an inch of vinyl/plastic without the spikes on one side of the mat so there was an area to pick it up easier.Overall, I recommend as it works as intended.
