I bought these boots for our trip to Acadia National Forest Bar Harbor, Maine. We hiked and walked a lot daily and felt great in these boots. As others have said, a break is not necessary. They immediately felt good. I was skeptical about ordering a large as I usually wear medium, but they fit perfectly. Plenty of toe room, but not too much. I don't think I could wear them medium. Very good ankle support and I felt supported on the descents. I don't mind spending some money on a good product. It's worth it. Light and comfortable. Now for the cons, they arrived just in time. My shipping confirmation said USPS shipping but they never arrived. When I wanted to cancel the order, I noticed that my UPS shipping information had changed. So I gave him a few more days and indeed they arrived. Just in time for my trip. 5 star product, delivery, ehhh. But great boots!
