Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Zephyr Women's TOPO by Christin Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought them in both colors.

A year ago I was a regular customer of New Balance trail running shoes. The stiffness of the shoe is ideal for those who have had foot surgery. The Leadville handled the bumps in the road very well, but wasn't too soft to tire my legs. As a road runner, the downside has always been that the cleats wear out too quickly, but this provided better balance for my feet. When NB discontinued this model and did not offer a suitable replacement, I tried two different Altras, but each failed for different reasons. And then I came across a user forum that suggested the topo line as a good substitute. I love these shoes. The outsole is stiff and provides stability without cushioning, making "stable" shoes feel heavy and uncomfortable. The minimalist design is perfect: the tongue is barely visible, the upper hugs the foot securely and breathes well. Aesthetically, the unique colorways offer nuance and subtlety, a welcome change from most women's shoes with flashy graphics or ridiculous colorways. Needless to say I quickly bought a second pair and am very happy with them and have been wearing them for over 3 months.

Pros
  • ORTHOLITE HUB: Comfortable anti-compression insole.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
