I have often mounted steering wheel covers, but never sewn them with thread. I would have preferred the threads to be black like the hubcap I bought, but I wasn't given that option. I have this with red yarn and it doesn't seem that bad as an accent color. I saw somewhere that it would be a good idea to warm up the cover for 10 minutes by placing it on the dashboard in direct sunlight. This will make it a little easier to tighten the handlebar cover, which is the trickiest part of the installation. It took about an hour to sew the cover on so take your time to get it right. The result was excellent and it looks and feels good.
