Bought 2 weeks ago. I just love it. It has 3 speeds, light, 2 aluminum grease filters and a granular carbon round filter. It has a low profile, which is also a nice feature. You change the activated carbon filter every 6 months or depending on how you cook. Aluminum filters can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand. Let's just say it works. We live in a rented house and the previous hood was a 24" Broan because my stove is 24" so needless to say there was room on either side of the hood. This thing was basically a glorified lightbulb. It didn't suck out anything in the form of grease, smoke, etc. Every time I greased walls, windows, pictures, etc. My husband and I did spring cleaning and spent a lot of time cleaning grease. To be honest I was fed up and am now very happy with this hood. I took measurements and he said the width of this window is 29.5 inches as you can see in the photo, we have a molded window so I had to be precise. Many of these are available in a variety of end widths from 29.5" to 30". This is important when trying to place in a limited space. Needless to say, it worked. To remove smoke and grease you need a higher CFM and this is 250 cfm. We recycled it because my landlord would need to approve its release, but so far it's working great. Do your homework and check out the specs on the Cosmo website. My husband and I installed it ourselves and have never done it before. Watch the video on YouTube. Very helpful in this regard. All I can say is I cook multiple meals on the stove and use the highest speed and you see it all go to the filters and away from the rest of the kitchen. The only downside would be the white LEDs which I would like to change as I have a soft white LED under the cabinet. In addition, it is ideal and low-maintenance. Remember that nothing is perfect. I would not hesitate to buy again if I move as it is superb and at a great price. Also has a 5 year warranty and US customer service.
