Reliable compact storage for medium to large nail polish collections

After years of storing my nail polishes in a cart stuffed into a closet where I rarely thought to pull out anything other than my 6 favorites, I set out looking for something to store my entire collection in a relatively small space. This spinning rack looked like what I needed, so I took a chance and ordered it despite the lack of reviews or published product sizes. It turned out absolutely perfect, and now my entire collection of polishes (and accessories!) is easily accessible in one place. Features: * Easy to assemble * Holds a lot: 80-100 vials depending on the size of the vials * Doesn't take up much space Details: I looked closely at the product photo, counted the vials visible and did some fuzzy calculations to determine what this item is likely to contain about 80 bottles of polish in my collection. I also made sure it had guides to keep the polish from getting back into the midsections. Both assumptions turned out to be correct. When loading the shelf, most regular nail polish bottles are placed in a single row along the outer edge of each tier. Thinner bottles like Sally Hansen Insta-Dry and Butter London can be double stacked. Assembling inserts a plastic guide that sits behind the row of nail polish bottles, forming a square section in the center of each tier. This will keep the bottles from slipping back if you don't want them to, but they can probably be removed. In my case, that came in handy because I could store less-used items in those middle sections. As shown, I have all of my base and top layers, as well as the cleaning stick, in the center of the top for easy access. The middle shelf holds my rarely used nail art supplies like stamping tools, foil, etc. And the bottom middle shelf holds mini bottles (great for travel) or spare bottles of my favorite colors. The middle sections on the bottom two levels can be reached by removing 2-3 bottles of polish from the outer row. Assembly Tips: When my nail polish stand arrived, there was an ominous rumble from the box. Luckily it turned out to be a slewing ring bolt that had come loose (one of three). Assembly was fairly easy, but not all of the screws for the bottom braces went through the bottom plate on the first try. One of the reasons for this was that the plate shifted when the loosened screw was reinstalled. I was able to easily loosen all three pivot mounting screws, insert the screws and attach the posts for the lower tier, and then carefully tighten the mounting screws again. The trick with the pan head screws is to make sure they are tight enough that they won't fall out, but not so tight that they damage the plastic of the bottom shelf. Once the first posts were in place, adding the center rails and attaching the rest of the tiers was easy. Note that the square center rails can be removed if you wish, they only appear to be there to keep the polish from sliding back. So if you really want to load up a shelf, just don't remove them. Dimensions: The shelf has 3 levels. square and measures 11.5 inches on each side. The rotation requires about 2 inches more free space around the rack. The shelf itself is just over 11 inches tall and will require an additional 1-3 inches of clearance depending on the size of the bottles in the top row. Each tier has a 4.5 inch space between the bottom two shelves. Each shelf is a solid square with 3 mounting rack holes and can be used with or without square inserts to form outer rows on each tier. moving my nail polish collection to a more accessible place so I can reapply my lesser used colors. As a bonus, the extra storage space in the center of each section allowed me to remove all of my spare covers and nail art supplies from the box in the back of the cabinet to keep everything in one place.
