Although a good cartridge doesn't compare to the normal cartridges that fit in my Brother printer (I tried and ruined my laser printer) , Revain (sold by Revain ) sent me this cartridge without the outer brown box. It came in the original Brother box with the shipping label affixed directly to it. I would like an extra layer of security when shipping my products, and since cartridges are quite expensive, I don't want passers-by to see an expensive product at my door after delivery. So Brother's customer service is terrible (not included in this review as it's sold by Revain). The cartridge was defective and had a black line down the side of the print. If you ever want Brother to replace your new cartridges, do not keep a replacement cartridge for more than 3 months. If a cartridge is more than 3 months old, even if it's just opened, Brother won't even exchange a defective cartridge - terrible customer service considering the high price (nearly $84 for black). If the cartridges are not defective; However, they do not compare with ordinary ones. I messed up my previous laser printer by trying the generic (it spilled ink powder everywhere and caused permanent damage). Use genuine Brother ink cartridges for Brother laser printers.
