Review on Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for MacBook Air 13 inch (M1/2018-2021) & MacBook Pro 13 inch (M1/2017-2021) [9H Hardness] by James Wonsley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Left rainbow effect

There are a few things I didn't like about this screen protector, mainly the fact that there are two areas on my screen with a "rainbow effect" 1. The profile didn't match properly, causing a rainbow effect. Hopefully the air will get better over time, but if it doesn't, that's really too bad for a $30 quarterback. *Update: It's been a few weeks and it hasn't entirely gone away*2. There are no clear installation instructions. They give you a small book on how to install PHONE Security. But with a huge laptop screen, it would be helpful to have a few tips. I had to find the video myself. Apparently they have videos on the Spigen website but the links don't work.3. Most protectors come with small stickers to help you position the protector correctly. This one didn't.4. The wet wipes are terrible. It leaves tons of residue and streaks. Don't use it. Just use plain water and a microfiber cloth.5. As other people mention, the glare is pretty terrible. It's just like a mirror. I'd love to go back and get a replacement but I'm not sure how I would go about that since it's already on my laptop. When the rainbow effect wears off I'll up my rating by a star or two, but so far I'm not very happy.
