With shipping costs, the total for the processor's purchase and shipment came to exactly 36,000. The 8700K processor and the Asus ROG Maximus X Formula motherboard were used in the upgrade.

Pros
- The BOX version of the 9900K. Most effective ones worked well straight from the packaging when supplied with CBO. Accepted 5 GHz with no problem. Complements the Asus ROG Maximus XI Formula motherboard and the EKWB bespoke EK-Velocity water block.
Cons
- Even though I was given a copy that was fairly representative of the batch, it is still extremely hot, and careful bios configuration and additional cooling for the vrm zone are required.
