Review on Promark Capacity Extension Closing Inches 5 by Eric Speers

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not bad, but: Cabinet Hardware

These slides are good for use in a shop or other non-critical applications. With exquisite furniture, they do not correspond to reality. The valve itself is pretty strong and reliable, but the self-closing mechanism is rough. They are difficult to open and require much more effort than comparable sliders from other manufacturers. They close well, but you have to manually push the drawer much further before the mechanism works and it closes itself. One slide failed completely within 2 weeks; needs to be replaced. Also don't have high hopes for the others I've bought. I can remove the self-pull and use them like regular sliders. But not what I had in mind when I bought them. Next time I'll buy a better brand. Update: August 5, 2020 Another soft close mechanism failed today; they just don't close properly and the drawer doesn't close completely; You need to push the drawer hard so that it closes by itself after stopping. Soft-closing drawers shouldn't work like this. I would like to be contacted by mfr; I want to replace defective parts.

Pros
  • Drawer Slides
Cons
  • Expensive
