Make sure you know where your oven knob is. The second photo shows that the burner cover doesn't open very far because the oven handle is right there. If you put them too low on the stove, you won't be able to open the oven door. I had to rearrange two of these because they were too low. One star deduction for that. Background: My rescue dog Sophie (American Foxhound/Golden Retriever mix) jumped on the stove. She turned one burner on full blast and the other on gas. It could have been a real tragedy if I hadn't been home. I removed all handles from the stove. It was uncomfortable. These pen covers work well. They're really easy to install. Just remember to use rubbing alcohol to remove any grease, dirt or plaque before applying the adhesive. It takes a full 24 hours to stick at its strongest. I left one lid open so I could cook and not get in the way of the other pens as the glue did the trick. They are easy to open and close. Definitely deters dogs from turning on the burners. It also protects small children from danger.
