After about 4 hours of segmented use the plastic on the plug started to burn or melt creating a very noticeable chemical in the air that burned my eyes. I also find it plausible that this was in danger of fires due to the heat and that fact probably uses the most energy of any cigarette port on the market which is why I bought it. I wouldn't recommend this, however, as it's too much current for a plug that pulls heat away from the port.
