Comes with a handy screwdriver, only the head and handle are too small. I was able to get the screws in, but I couldn't add torque to countersink them. I found what I needed in our toolbox. The screws were labeled but used slightly differently in the instructions. I easily figured out which screws to use, but it was annoying. Once assembled, the hammock is not very durable. My cat got in but when she jumped out she fell down and never got back in. I can only recommend this for kittens or small cats. The screws are tight but the wood isn't strong enough, I slip. They give you extra screws of each type which is a plus. I also liked the fluffy cover for the winter, which is attached with Velcro.
