The cell is advertised as 500 mAH and actual measurement was 397mAHLike most Chinese cells, the measured capacity is less than advertised, but the EBL cell is closer to advertised than most.Tenergy cells are closer to their stated capacity, but more expensive.NiMH cells in general have higher capacity, but do not tolerate abuse as well as NiCd.NiCd must be recycled as the Cd (cadmium) is more toxic than lead.Technical details:After a full charge, the cell was placed on a trickle charge to insure it was charged to 100% of capacity.It was then discharged through a 30 ohm resistor until a voltage of < 0.9 volts was reached. The current was measured every 5 minutes and the total mAH was computed as the sum of the 5 minute mAH.
