I can't do without a hot air brush. for me it combines hair dryer and straightener in one step. I prefer to use this particular iron on the highest setting (there are three settings) then set it to the lowest setting that doesn't blow hot air into the stack. I never use the medium setting which is "low" so the air is blown out twice as little. My only real issue with them - as with every brand I've tried - is that the bristles deform after a while. I also wish they came with some sort of holdall so I don't squeeze the bristles so much.
