The ends of the box were unsealed on both ends. Unfortunately, I only noticed the first ending. Right next to the porch, the thing slid out the other end and landed on my toe. I suspect someone returned this article and it was reposted. The screw indicator is not aligned. Without alignment, the weight is displayed upside down. COULD BE ALIGNED if there was 1/2 turn left in the fully tightened mounting rod, but it isn't. A half turn in the opposite direction will make the mounting rail wobbly. The nut and screw securing the display to the bracket were missing. Maybe a previous buyer has one. He is said to weigh up to 550 pounds. Readings for the skinny SO and my skinny dog seemed accurate. But MY weight was 320 pounds, which is 50 pounds heavier than my old scale read this morning. yes he is back
