Review on πŸ”Š Dell AX510 Entry Flat Panel Stereo Sound Bar with Genuine 1908FP Compatibility by Wagner Witlin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ease of installation and sound quality is decent but you must have a supported Dell display

*** Make sure you have a Dell display with its own 12v power connector on the soundbar (BUT AX510PA INCLUDES a separate power supply). If you are unsure you can visit the Dell Support website which lists which Dell displays will definitely work with the AX510. I have a Dell 2709W and it's on the list of supported displays. If you haven't done your homework and need a separate power supply, you can order something like the UL listed Pwr 12V Power Adapter for your Dell Soundbar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RNDY72/ The AX510 soundbar was very easy to position and insert to "lock" under the monitor. It still uses the green 3.5mm analog audio jack and cable, so it connects to your PC's speaker/audio-out jack (you can also connect it to other devices like smartphones with a 3.5mm headphone jack ). As mentioned above, the Dell 2709W display has its own 12V power connector, so I connected the soundbar's power cord to it. The AX510 soundbar also has two headphone jacks on the left side and a power button + volume control on the right side. The volume seems normal; it depends on how loud the source is (ie how loud you set the volume in windows). I don't think the white light (indicating the power is on) in the center is too distracting. With a frequency response of 135Hz - 20kHz these little speakers definitely do NOT have a lot of bass but they are ok. If you have the right Dell display, these speakers are great for conferencing, listening to music at a lower volume, and watching movies. Keep in mind that they're only rated for 10 watts, so they probably won't be loud enough to rattle your neighbor's walls. Mine was purchased from Nextlife Asset Sales and the box was still in factory sealed condition.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • is too stupid
