Review on πŸ“š ProCase Premium Folio Case for Surface Pro 2/Pro, Compatible with Microsoft Keyboard, with Multiple Viewing Angles - Brown/Black by Roy Whetstone

Good case to replace obsolete cases for Surface Pro 1 and 2

Works great for my Surface Pro 1 and my Syrface Pro 2. I bought the brown/black version. It replaces a worn Manvex cover. It's very similar to the Manvex, but the tablet is inserted from the top instead of the bottom. Removing the tablet is a bit more difficult, but it seems to be tight. Manvex is still a good case but I couldn't find it online anymore. Angle adjustment is done with Velcro on the bottom edge to securely hold the set viewing angle. My old case wouldn't hold the set angle after prolonged use, so I think that's a nice feature. The material appears to be faux leather with a grained pebble finish and stitching along the edges. It doesn't smell like new leather, but it looks high quality and feels very comfortable. All ports are accessible and the vents aren't too blocked. The keyboard cover type fits and the case closes with the keyboard attached. I also have a PowerCover keyboard (a thicker keyboard with an extra battery for Surface) and it fits well, but the gaps in the new cover only open up a little when closed. I don't think that's a problem, especially when using an elastic band that covers the gap to the thicker PowerCover when the case is closed. In general I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great
