That's exactly what I was hoping for. This is a nice thick strap (about 5/32 of an inch to my naked eye). Definitely durable, genuine leather. A little stiff at first, but that will settle down over time. only slightly cheaper than a luxurious piece of cow which could ideally be embellished but so far they've held up well. One complaint I saw was that the loop wasn't made to the same standards as the strap itself. While I understand their point, it's definitely not an obvious error. The perforated holes in the belt are a nice surprise. Not just round but have a slit running the length of the belt to fit snugly with the buckle slanting through it. Nice gesture. It's a bit early but hopefully the finish will hold up over time. So far, so good.
