I bought this for my new Galaxy Note 9 so I can connect it directly to a monitor without DeX station or pad to use. It has another USB-C power input so you can charge your phone via the HDMI output. The only problem is that you can't connect a wireless USB mouse, keyboard or whatever. Using it with my Note 9 Dex skills would be a last resort as I also have a DeX pad that allows me to connect a USB wireless mouse and keyboard. But the cable itself works great. I already have a bluetooth keyboard so all I really need is a bluetooth mouse and then the cable will work just as well as a dex pad or station. So I'm giving it 5 stars because it does what it's designed to do. A full desktop requires only a few Bluetooth devices. It is no problem for me.
