My 16 month old baby is very against shoes. These and rubber boots are the only shoes he tolerates for the time being. They hold up well and have a good balance of flexibility and support. So far they have held up well after a month of continuous use, no signs of wear. A star was removed because the first pair of socks had red marks around his ankles where the shoes rubbed a bit. My son didn't seem to care at all. I put on slightly thicker socks, also I think after a few wears they softened, so I haven't had any problems since then.
