Review on Olympus VN2100PC Digital Voice Recorder by Andre Young

I use this voice recorder to take notes and record phone conversations (I have a special adapter that connects the phone jack to the microphone jack on this voice recorder) and I am satisfied in order to. The recorder does not require batteries and records speech well, but depending on what you want to record you may need to purchase an external microphone. I would NOT recommend this recorder for music. The only reason I give this recorder 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn't work with an AC/DC adapter, which saves me changing batteries as it doesn't have an external power connection. I'm planning to buy an Olympus DS 30 model that runs on an AC adapter to pick up phones because then I could just keep this unit on all the time, while on this unit (VN2100PC) I need to turn it on. turns on in the morning, turns off at 5:00 p.m., then puts in a new pair of batteries to record the next day. Then I will use this VN2100 PC for notes, reminders and informal conferencing as it is good for that. Transferring recordings from the device to our computers for storage and further use is very easy.
