I loved these sheets right out of the box. Color was as described and the weight was just what I was looking for. Washed them normally and put them on the bed. Great fit! First night sleeping on them, I had to rip them off within an hour in because they were so rough I could not get comfortable. Very scratchy and uncomfortable. So I washed them again with an abundance of fabric softener. A little better. I had to rip them off the bed two hours into the night because they were still unbearable. Then I soaked each sheet separately in a solution of baking soda and vinegar for several hours, washed them and used fabric softener again. Finally had a whole nice of comfortable slumber. Now I have sheets that I love. It was worth it for me, especially for the price. I'm hopeful they'll last a long time. Because I had to work so hard to make them lovable, I docked them a star, but I'm still very happy with my purchase.
