Very disappointed. Bought to keep food fresh while we all stay home and shelter. I tried it out to make sure I knew how to use it (works well) so the next day I bought $500 worth of fresh meat and chicken for us and our extended family to pack for everyone. 1 pack made before it stopped working. What a mess we have here, all this food has to be packaged and there is no sealing. Of course it's not FoodSaver's fault I bought a lot of groceries, but after everything worked the day before, why would I think it's not working again? Basically, the sealant sheet has not heated up. Everyone seemed to be running out of supplies to replace the Foodsaver, so I took a chance and bought Anova sealant. LOVE Anova. It's more compact, seals any size pouch (this foodsaver only fits 8" pouches, which I didn't understand when I bought it) and is cheaper. It is more of a purely European sealant. Low on the tabletop and elegant looking. Careless about the Foodsaver (friends have them and love them) but happy to have found Anova.
