If you are using an older system (like Windows 8.1 x64) with an older motherboard (such the ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo), there is a possibility that it may be identified with a lower volume (and you will be given the option to label it for a lower volume). Helps or markup from Windows 7 (10) on a chipset that was developed more recently. Or, looking for new drivers can be of assistance as well. It was helpful for me to use the driver from Intel R Chipset SATA RAID Co 11.7.4202201 rst. Even though it is concerning the raid, which I do not have, the disk size was established normally after installation, and there were no issues with the markup.
