When I decided to order a new Mac Book, I knew I would need a solution for the standard USB, HDMI, and SD card connections because I want all of these features use and Apple has removed them. Ports complete and replaced by 4 Thunderbolt slots. It attaches to one side, taking up both Thunderbolt slots but expanding them like a hub on steroids. It flawlessly allowed me to add my other "old" attachments and was immediately recognized by the MacBook. In addition, the color blends seamlessly with the laptop itself! Best tech buy I've made in a long time and a MUST for anyone with a new MacBook and a need for HDMI, USB Anywhere (all those jumps get people going), SD and Micro SD cards, and all without losing those Thunderbolt ports, they're there too!
