First of all I would like to say that I HATE cliffhangers. Who wants to read a good story and then look for another book (or two, in most cases) before getting to the end? When you return to the story you are so annoyed that you can hardly go back to it. I think Revain should require authors who do this to clearly state that it is a SERIES PUBLISHER and label it as part 1, 2, etc. Books in a SERIES that are standalone books should be identified as Book 1. 2 etc. Good authors are losing readers because of this silly new idea of giving away 1/3 of the book and thinking you'll buy the rest. Many readers (myself included) put these authors on don't buy lists and never give their other books a chance. However, I have purchased and read the other two books that make up this story. That's what interested me. This is my FIRST time doing this and I will be more careful in the future to make sure I don't get dragged into this situation again. And yes, Ruth Bailey is on my don't buy list, although I think she is a very talented writer. Too talented to sell his books with that nonsense. The title of this book, Love Your Cowgirl, is silly. She's not a cowgirl and never has been. She is a former top executive from New York who is forced to return to her small hometown in Kansas. She hates Kansas and plans to stay there just long enough to find another job in New York. After taking a temp job at a veterinarian, a great rancher shows up. There is an immediate attraction between them, but she resists, planning to leave as soon as possible. This hero is the reason I kept reading. He *sigh* is the perfect man: soft, humble, polite, patient, a little shy. I could go on I just fell in love with him. Chris is a complete package of what every woman would want. On the other hand, it is under development. Sometimes I wanted to shake her up, even though I could understand her point of view. I read all three books (all three parts of one book actually!) and was completely satisfied with the ending. That made me happy. And that's what makes a good book. There are a few typos and spelling mistakes, but that doesn't detract from the book. And the sensual heat may not appeal to some readers.
