They work great and look more modern
Our old ones turned yellow from the heat and buzzed. They're just as bright, LED, quiet, cool to the touch and look a lot nicer. We had to replace the dimmer because their old ones used 400 watts and these used less than 40 so were too energy efficient. for an old style dimmer. Instead we simply used an inexpensive conventional switch.
