I have installed a fan before but this was the hardest part. The author of the guide is not a native English speaker, so you should only focus on the pictures. I often had to go back and fix something because the custom photos were blurry. In addition, there is no way to change the direction of rotation of the fan. You can change the color of the light by quickly pressing the light on/off button, but this is not mentioned in the instructions. I found out about this from another reviewer. Still, we really like the fan, it's very nice, it's quiet and I like the remote control. Although it was a very awkward setup. The blades are set to move clockwise instead of counter-clockwise, which would be the usual summer setting.
