I'm new to DIY and didn't know how to caulk my bathroom, but I watched a YouTube video and thought I could find out. Here's what I did: -- I scraped off all the old caulk with a utility knife/scraper I bought on Amazon (it was very labor intensive, took about 2 hours because I had multiple layers of caulk) -- I added blue painter's tape To create a line, I just removed the blue tape after sealing with no problem (similar to when you paint a wall and put the painter's blue tape on the ceiling so you don't have to paint the ceiling) - then I'm done with it continued pan and tile with polyseamseal. The weapon is not needed. Just open and squeeze. -- I pressed with a wet finger to make sure it was all the way in -- Immediately after using the wet finger I removed the blue masking tape -- I waited 72 hours for it to dry. -- Then I applied Sashco Clear Lexel adhesive sealant (obviously I bought it on Amazon). I added it because I wanted an extra layer of protection. It's clear and you don't see the mess at all, which is why I didn't use blue masking tape. I waited another 72 hours. Everything went great and now my tub has perfectly white edges all around. It is very well preserved. I did this about 4 months ago.
